    Hi I'm trying to establish whether or not I have lead pipes in a property which was built in Scotland around 1970. The stop valve inside the property appears to have copper piping coming up from the outside therefore can I assume this will be the same type of piping all the way to the boundary where Scottish Power would maintain the rest of the network?     Constant noise in my house like a humming and vibration noise

    I have a noise that is constant in my house. Almost like a humming, vibrating noise. I have tried turning the boiler off and the fridge freezer and even turned all the electric off but the noise is still there and I haven't a clue where its coming from. Not sure if I'd need am electrician for this or a heating engineer I just want the noise found and sorted but not sure what trade is best. Hope I can get some help

    We have an existing conservatory (brick for the bottom 0.5m) attached to the rear of the house. We are exploring the idea of knocking through and creating a flat roof extension on the footprint of the conservatory. My question is, is it likely the conservatory footings will be suitable for an extension or will they need re-doing? Thank you
