Hi, I have several projects that I require carpenter(s) to be hired for, but I am wary about the cost this might be. Does anyone have any reasonable estimates for the hourly cost of a carpenter?
I am just wondering how much it would cost to cut kitchen worktops?
I will need 3 internal doors measuring, supplying and fitting. They are probably different sizes as it’s an old bungalow. I would like a quote please.
I am thinking of changing all my inside door handles. I have 3 bathrooms each with locks and 10 ordinary handles. Please can you advise of approximate cost and i will provide new handles.
I need to fit new skirting board in my living room as it's just been plastered. I'm just wondering which is the best way to fix the skirting board? Do I need to use screws and plugs or can I just use an adhesive? If so which should I use? The walls seem to be flat but i don't want there to be big gaps at the top that I have to fill with caulk. Thanks in advance.
Can I get a rough price for mid-range options including fitting?
Hello, I recently purchased a 2 bedroom downstairs flat. The central heating system runs around the bottom of the floor all around the flat at just above skirting board level. The system works fine and recently had a new boiler but I think the copper pipes are ugly and i'm just wondering if i can get a carpenter/joiner to box them in? How much should i expect it to cost? I need about 15-20 metres in total, boxed in and painted. Thanks
Just finished up with some downstairs renovations and the last thing we need to deal with are the doors. How long should this take someone to do and how much will it cost? There are four doors
Hi, I have a door that is currently on the left side of the frame opening into a room, and I need to have it rehung to the right side of the frame opening out of the room, how much would this cost? Thanks!
Hi all, I’m looking to install skirting boards along my hallway walls. I have read some mixed messages about using some adhesives for skirting boards online and some recommending to instead have the skirting boards drilled in. Would adhesives be suitable enough for typical hallways? Is there any specific problems I should look out for if I went for the adhesive route? And are there any particular brands I should steer clear of for this? Currently, I have painted walls, which will be dry and there’s not likely much risk of damage day to day – if this makes a difference at all. I’d like to hear what others’ experiences have been using adhesives versus drilled in skirting boards.
