  • Patio grout very yellow

We’ve had a beautiful patio laid by a professional. Pale grey mottled granite style slabs. The gaps were filled with a dry sand/cement mix. Whilst it was being done I queried the colour as it was very yellow, but was assured it would turn grey. A month on, it’s still yellow. It cost a fortune and I’m gutted. The yellow mix has also bled around the edges oF the tiles, obviously wouldn’t have been noticeable if it had dried grey. What has gone wrong and how can it be fixed?

What is the typical cost of a removal company for moving house?

Hi We will be moving to a new house in the near future and want to hire a removals service to move all of our belongings from the old house to the new house. Are there any typical costs we can expect? And what kind of factors would effect the price normally?

Can I install multiple switches for the same lights within one room?

I would like to install more switches at two different doorways within the same large room. Ideally both switches could be used independently of each other without any conflict. Is it feasible for me to install the additional switch and make adjustments by myself or is this more for a professional electrician to complete? In either case, is it likely that I will need to repaint or plaster around the switches afterwards? Any advice on this project would be great!

How easy will it be to remove wallpaper for an entire room?

I have a room that we plan to remove all the wallpaper from, as part of the room’s redecoration. We are planning to remove it by peeling away from the corners, using a damp cloth where required to loosen up any stubborn areas. As precautions, we will cover up the floors nearby and the switches/electrical sockets in case of any accidents in the process. Is this the simplest method for us to try or is there any quicker, more efficient methods we could try instead? Any ideas would be welcome!
