My partner and I would like to have our attic converted into a bedroom for two of our children. One of them is crazy about astronomy. How can we ensure that the window installed in the attic bedroom won't obscure the sight of the stars at night? What type of window should we have fitted?

My house has a loft space of approximately 45 square metres. I would like to have it fully converted into an attic bedroom. How much would this cost?

If I want to convert my loft into two more beds and a bath how long should this take start to finish?

Hey guys. Tell me about loft boards. Best types? Do I need legs/stilts for the boards? We are looking at laying boards down in attic for storage space. The insulation is really thick though and comes up higher than the joists so I don’t know how to proceed. What would be the best way to install loft boards over insulation, so they don’t push the insulation down?

Asked by Michael on 3rd Apr 2020

Hello, I’m in the stages of planning a loft conversion. It’s not a huge loft and will probably only fit a desk and will be used for storage. I was advised to install two velux windows as to start with so at least we can get some light. I will need separate staircase going into the loft, for which there is space to do so - would I need an architect to draw all this up?
