Victorian terrace firewall fibreglass waterproofing paint, good or bad?
I've a small leak into the loft from the firewall on a three-storey Victorian terrace house. All the firewalls and chimneys were re-rendered about eight years ago but on inspection there are quite a few fine cracks and in places some of the outer layer of the render has come away. I've had two quotes from roofers to hack off the render and replace. Both of them then recommend a fibreglass paint that lasts for 'ten years'. I've queried this (no answer as yet) and looked it up online but can find little information. In both instances the roofers insist the fibreglass paint waterproofing is integral. My father in law is a retired architect and says nothing like fibreglass should be used as the walls needs to breathe or flex (though this is a paint, I guess?). Any advice on this would be really helpful. Thank you.

How long does it take to install solar tiles? Are they affordable? Can I install them by myself and if so when I purchase them from? If not, how long might it take to have a roofer install these tiles on my roof? Also, how do solar tiles connect to my house’s energy system?
Access to neighbours roof
Can my neighbours use my roof to access their solar panels as they want to bird proof them? The side of their solar panels that is closest to my house is on the roof boundary.

My neighbour has erected scaffolding which is hanging over my property and they did not have the decency to inform us about their roofing works. Is this acceptable? It is a semi detached property so are they allowed to interfere with my roof tiles without my permission?

How would you connect together an old bitumen felted tiled roof to a new breathable membrane tiled roof. My neighbours had a new roof and I fear damage to mine.
