Holes in roof felt

There are a few holes in our roof felt. Does the whole lot need replacing or can it be patched?

"Unfortunately you can not patch them up as you would be creating more damage. I would advise doing the hole thing."

"The life span for bitumen based felt is between 20-30 so its quite likely that your felt is well past its use by date."

"You would be better to have someone look at it. It may be the case a repair will work or it may need to replace. Its hard to say without looking.

I can arrange this for you if you like"

"This is a hard one to Anwser because if it’s down to wear and tear then I would recommend redoing the whole thing, but if it’s holes in felt caused by an impact on it a patch up would be required"

"Depends on weather you want someone up there fixing it every other week which will cost more in the long run I personally wouldn't patch felt as a tradesman because I couldn't guarantee the work"

"Hi there it can be patched as a short term fix,
But if there are holes in one spot there’s a big chance that there are others, felt usually deteriorates after about fifteen years so you could check when your roof was last worked on"

"This can be patched by taking tiles off and cutting in a patch of felt then replace the tiles"
