Should ridge tiles be cemented on?

Is there something more modern that roofers are using when fixing ridge tiles?

"Hi.

Yes there is a dry ridge system.
Essentially they are fixed onto the roof ridge timber.
With no need for cement to bed them
It's a low maintenance method as they will not need to be re done over the years."

"You can lay ridges on a cement bed with a mechanical fixing and you can also lay them with a dry ridge system with fixings in-between each ridge holding them in position."
