Preserving wooden gutters
I have old wooden gutters on my property. They are at a point where most would simply have them replaced, however, they’re extremely important to me as it's a family home and my grandfather built them by himself sixty years ago. So I am willing to pay more than most would to preserve these gutters as long as possible. What efforts can I have, even radical efforts to keep these gutters going for at least another say ten to fifteen years? At what point, do worn down gutters become a danger?
How much does chimney crown repair cost?
A roofer replacing some slipped tiles mentioned that our chimney crown is cracked and letting water in. What does a proper repair cost and is it urgent before winter?

Reroofing an outhouse
We need to reroof an outhouse as cheaply as possible, but we've been told that using concrete tiles could add extra weight to the roof. Would some kind of shingle or sheet option work?
How much to fix damp around a chimney breast?
Our house is a 1930s semi and there's a damp patch on the bedroom wall right where the chimney breast is. It only gets worse after heavy rain, so I'm guessing it's the flashing or the pointing up top. Had one roofer round who quoted £850 without even going up on the roof.
