Fine sooty debris
I have had a fall of fine sooty debris from the roof on to the loft floor. The fall covered an area of approximately 1.5 metre diameter. What might the potential cause be and what solutions might be appropriate?

How do you get rid of black stains that are streaked along a roof? Is this an easy issue to solve DIY or am I best hiring a professional? Are there any products in particular that I should use? Cheers in advance.
Curved ceilings lots of condensation
Hello, I’m wondering if you have any advice. My house had curved ceilings upstairs, which the last two winters have had bad condensation/water once it gets cold outside. Is this made worse by putting the heating on? The house is very cold particularly on the one side, which sees the worst of the condensation. From previous advice it’s something to do with a large uninsulated gap where the curve has been put into the ceilings. Do you have any advice long term and short term? Thank you, Emily
