  • EICR and appliance installation

Is it possible to do a 10-year EICR and replace two kitchen appliances by the same electrician on the same day? Will I save money by arranging the jobs like this? Or should I have the inspection and the installation done separately?

    Replacing oven element

I've tried to replace the bottom element in my oven. In the process the foil was torn and came out meaning the element is now in contact with the insulation wool (the insulation is all still in tact). Is this OK?

Can you use antiviral spray on light switches?

is it safe to spray an antiviral spray on light switches? How can I disinfect light switches safely in general? For instance, if I do so with the switch turned off will this be safer an if so, how long should I wait before turning the light back on after applying a disinfectant of some kind? Thanks.

How can I add a backbox and a blanking plate onto expanding foam?

Hi, Keeping it short here, I had a bottomless hole which I filled in with expanding foam with no issues. However, under that foam is some wires I wish to add a backbox and cover that with a blanking plate (So, it will act as a wire junction box) but how can I insert a backbox into foam? I have had two ideas 1, cut a hole and glue the backbox into it or 2, remove the foam and start again but this time was holding the backbox in place as I foam around it. Thanks!
