My phone charger been chewed, but it's still working, only the outer covering is badly damaged. How can I fix a chew phone charger? Will electrical tape better or any much better idea? Thank you

"People do put tape around damaged charger cables,
You use the words (badly damaged) which is a concern that would advise you to purchase a new charger to be on the safe side as they can be quite reasonably priced."
