"Without knowing what you want to wire the cable to it's a hard to be helpful. But as a general rule assuming you talking about flex round 3 core cable, with a multi strand cores.

It is used for final connections. flexible cables in fixed installations is for the final connection to equipment which may need to be adjusted, such as floodlights or motors. Flexible cables may also be used for overhead wiring between buildings for example bear in mind materials used to make such cables differ too.

More examples include: the power cable to your boiler or power cable to an appliance etc . flexible non-kinking cable
So you can not use it for your socket outlets and most installations where vibration or movement or adjustment won't be required or an issue. But perfectly fine for light pendants for example since they they allow movement/ adjustment etc.

Hope that made some sense, and I answered the right questions 😊"

"Flexible cables are typically used for connecting appliances, equipment, or devices that require movement or flexibility. The regulations address factors like current-carrying capacity, voltage drop, protection against mechanical damage, and environmental conditions. It’s important to consult the relevant sections of BS 7671 and consider factors such as cable type, sizing, and installation methods to ensure compliance with the standards."
