  • What product is good to silence noise?

My youngest son is neurodivergent and is very sensitive to loud noises. Do you know of any good products that he could use to silence the noise, perhaps good noise-cancelling headphones? Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Decorative edge between paving and raised beds

I am having some paving laid for a pergola. The paving on one side has a raised flower bed - the back is a garage wall and other side is grass. The builder suggests leaving a gap between the paving and the raised bed and walk around 6 inches and to fill with decorative stone - is this better than butting up against everything like the rest of the paving around the house?

What paint is best for painting the inside of a garage? Would anything need doing with the walls before painting them? It’s just a normal concrete block garage.

Do I need to use moisture resistant plasterboard on ceiling when wet plastering on top?

As per title: Do I need to use moisture resistant plasterboard on ceiling when wet plastering on top in bathroom? Vaulted ceiling has Insulation backed plasterboard that is not moisture resistant. It's all going to be skimmed in the near future. If it's going to be skimmed over, do I need to get someone to overboard it in green plasterboard before it's skimmed or not? Thanks guys!

Remove Internal Wall and Fit Kitchen

I am looking to having the wall (2.80m) between existing kitchen/dining room removed (requires a steel & a C/H radiator move) and a 6.72m2 'U' shaped, 15 units (incl 3 tower) kitchen (customer supplied) fitted. Should I contact Builders or Kitchen fitters or would I need to separate the two jobs?

How can I safely break tiles?

Hello. I have a quite unique art project in mind but I want to be safe in doing so. I’d like to break tiles into tiny little pieces and then glue them to a bare globe to make the shape of the world’s continents… how can I do this safely, from breaking the tiles into bits and shards to applying them to the globe. I’d encase the globe after or keep it in a high place so no one tries to spin it and cut themselves. Maybe it’s just a year and a half of this pandemic, has driven me to boredom haha, I am retired so I’m trying to find new hobbies. Anyway, I won't use up any more of your time. Kind Regards.
