  • Guidance on dying oak tree with TPO

I've got an old oak tree that's dying. It has a preservation order on it. Will a tree surgeon be able to work with me to stabilise it for as long as possible and guide me on replacing it when the time comes? The tree is on open land, so it's no real danger to people. I just want to make sure I'm fulfilling my responsibility. Is there anything I need to do before it's worked on?

    Garage wall mould

I’ve got a garage in the garden and in the summer I decided to fix OSB3 to the internal wall and paint it with a wood primer which is water based to make the wall look tidy since the person who plastered it didn’t do a good job. Now that winter is here I’ve noticed mould growing on parts of the wall. What can I do to fix it apart from using mould removal spray, looking for a permanent solution.

    Recommended brands for concrete rollers

I am planning to buy a lawn roller next month. I’ve been researching different types of rollers and I’ve read about the many benefits of a solid concrete roller. I’ve had a good look online and they seem to be few and far between. I found a few products for sale on eBay and that was about it. Are there any brands you’d recommend I check out who still sell concrete rollers? Or are they no longer being produced?

When should I get an architect?

For a project, at what point is it generally best to get an architect involved? Is there a rule of thumb to consider, such as ‘once the basics are considered’ or if I’ve hired the team that will bring a project to life? Or at another phase?
