  • Is it possible to have an indoor lawn?

Hi. Is it possible to have an indoor lawn created? Long story short, me and my husband decided to have a wall removed years ago so that we could extend our kitchen; fast forward to today and it’s like we don’t really need that much space. So, we’d like to re-build the wall and maybe even have an indoor lawn/indoor garden built with some big glass doors to let plenty of light in. Is this even possible, safe, legal? Thanks for your time. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    Block paved driveway dipping

Hello I had a large area of my garden block paved a few months ago. It looks great but I have started to notice some dipping in 2 areas. Its not a big worry but I am slightly concerned if it begins to get worse. I have spoke to the company that installed it and they're coming to take a look next week. I just want to make sure they don't do a bodge repair. What should i be expec ting them to do? I understand that block paving always dips slightly but this seems like a bit too much so early on. It seemed like they did everything right originally but i'm no expert. What should I expect there to be under there in terms of a base? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Bonding gutter installation

Can any body tell me the standard or regulations when replacing both roof and felt on a semi detached property? Is fitting a bonding gutter possible without compromising next doors roof? My felt appears to have dropped on my side where the neighbours have had their roof done.

Hi guys, I am soon to be moving house and I have a small kitchen with a big full length cupboard which houses an RCD. I would like to utilise the cupboard by placing a washing machine or fridge in there and I also believe the RCD needs up dating. Can you tell me if this is possible please, I.e. utilising it for the washing machine or fridge or can i only use it for other storage items.

    Window seal replacement

I've noticed that when I open my double glazed windows, the seal on the inside are damaged and has a lot of mould. I used to be able to get away with cleaning the inner pvc area once every six months yet I'm noticing it getting mould quickly and needing done at least once a month to stop it from building up. It's mostly affecting the bedroom windows and my upper hallway. I've noticed these windows getting a lot of condensation as well. Is it possible to replace this inside seal and if so what roughly would it cost to do something like this? The windows are between ten and twelve years old I think. Would ideally not want to completely replace as its not within budget just now.

What is the best type of sealant for kitchen tiles

Hello I have been installing floor tiles in my kitchen recently, as part of my kitchen’s renovation. We are planning on having decorative tiles fitted on the walls too. So far, it looks like I will have leftover adhesive from the floor tiles - would these be suitable to use for the wall tiles too? Or should I use some kitchen or wall specific tile adhesive instead? Thanks

    Leaking guttering and down pipe

Home report says potential leaking guttering/down pipe. Gutters are cleaned annually. On inside of ground floor flat, in bottom corner of the room there is some mould on the bottom of the wall. This is near to where the down pipe is externally. Could this potentially be due to leaking down pipe? Damp meter readings all seem within acceptable levels. Or, could this perhaps only be due to bedside cabinet too close to wall and not enough air circulation? Thank you
