  • Replacing double oven with single oven.

Hi all A little friendly advice required please..... I need to replace my built-in double oven that has a power rating of 4.2 kW and is, as far as I can ascertain, on its own circuit due to having its own circuit breaker at the mains fuse box and main switch at the wall next to the oven. I have bought / replaced my own ovens without issue before, but something is making me doubt myself and seek clarity. My question is, so long as the replacement oven is equal to or less than 4.2 kW, it should be a straight forward, like-for-like replacement...... Shouldn't it? Would I have to replace the cable running from the oven to the wall switch or consider anything else? Many thanks in advance for your advice. Nick

    DIY cladding mixture

Is it legal to create your own cladding mix, by combining different ingredients? For instance, could I create a lime monocouche hybrid, etc.? How could I tell if my hybrid is going to work okay? Is this simply too risky eitherway? Just a thought.
