Ground floor extension leaking roof

We have a leak in our ground floor extension roof. It started with the paint cracking when it rained hard, but now it's got much worse and water is slowly dripping through the cracks that are growing.
It's a flat roof and i can't see where it could be coming through.

My question may be a silly one, but would i need a roofer or a specialist builder of some sort for this kind of work? We need to work out where the leak is coming from first, and then fix it!

"Sounds like the flat roof may be letting water in somewhere , especially if it’s that much new boards and a 3 layer felt system installed correctly would do the job , then you could go ahead with inside getting sorted"

"Hi Dave.
It's very tricky to give you a 100% answer without seeing the job.
As you say it's a flat roof, there are many types.
•Tar felt roof - there is probably part of the felt that has crack or started to perish.
• Fibre glass roof - the may be a tiny little air bubble that has now cracked in the fibre glass resin. To which that is now leaking.
Whatever the roof system you have on your flat roof, it is all an easy fix really. 90% of general builders and roofers will be able to do a quick fix on it for you though.
I hope it gets sorted.

"You definitely need to employ a professional to determine the cause ,and get repaired ASAP ,before the water penetration the decking boards below the roof covering ,and then into your ceiling ,I hope this helps"

"First you need to determine where the water is getting inside - you may have clogged gutters or a cracked roof tile or gap. There may also be a small roof slope and therefore the water does not drain too quickly."
