Pane spacers in windows

Are pane spacers in windows all the same or are there variations in quality?

"Defo variation, normal and warm edge, you should try use warm edge as much as possible, its a coated spacer bar."

"What do you mean by pane spacers do you mean spacer bar if so these have changed a lot over the years going along with frame/rebate changes ..normally now they are 20mm but back before everyone had upvc the old windows would have 14mm units 6mm bar some windows or doors couldn't even accommodate that so they had stepped units"

"When you say, pane spacers, do you mean spacer bar (depth of dgu? If this is the case, then yes, spacer bar varies. I hope this helps.

"As long as the spacers are plastic quality is not an issue"

"These come in many sizes but ate dependant to your frames. Most older frames have an ally spacer bar in silver or bronze, however newer frames have thermal bars called warm edge, but you will still need to know the size, the glass is generally 4mm thick on both panes, so a standard upvc window is 28mm in total.
The makeup would be 4mm glass 20mm spacer then another 4mm glass.
4x20x4mm making a total of 28mm."
