How much to hang internal bifold door?

Hi I have an Internal LPD top hung bi-fold door. It needs assembling and fitting to the doorway. Doorway is 100mm too high so will need filling to reduce height. There is no wooden frame on the wall, although a frame has been provided with the door. What would be a fair charge for this Job? I'm based in Nottingham.

Wet garage - identifying source(s) of water

Hi, We have bought a house with a single garage with an asbestos roof that has holes in it and needs replacing. We are trying to decide on our best options as, ideally, we want to end up with a secure, dry and insulated space that can be sectioned off so we have an office/garden room at the back and plenty of storage space for furniture, gardening equipment etc at the front. What we cannot determine is whether the wetness within the garage is purely down to a leaky roof or whether there is also water coming up through the concrete floor. The garden is prone to flooding in certain sections, including behind the back corner of the garage. Is a builder the right trade to get in to look at this for us? We are conscious that anyone that comes out is likely looking to do the work but at this stage we are just looking for an honest appraisal so we can consider our options. Cheers.

Hang internal doors to a metal frame

I have recently moved into a council house, I don’t have a single door that closes properly and most don’t have handles. I really need to replace the bedroom doors, however the frames are metal with the hinges welded on. As I don’t own the house I really don’t want to go to the expense of replacing all the frames, is it possible to hang new doors onto the existing frame?

Should I get an electric door lock?

Hi there! Should I have an electric door lock installed? What are the pros and cons? Will the door remain unopenable during a power outage or what would happen during this scenario? Thanks :)

    Garden room electrics

I currently have a garden shed with full power, with the garden circuit being a separate circuit on the main consumer unit. Power is provided to the shed via a buried 50mm armoured cable. I am planning on replacing the shed with a proper garden room. Is it possible to utilise the current electricity connection in the new garden room, effectively directly replacing the shed with the garden room? I would expect to have a secondary consumer unit in the garden room.
