  • Can I use an electric free-standing oven with a normal plug socket?

Hello I am living in a property currently which does not feature a fitted oven and does not seem to have any specific points for a cooker to be attached currently. In the meantime, would it be acceptable for me to use a free-standing electric oven using a sole plug socket or would I need an electrician to fit the oven in by some special electrical point? Any advice would be appreciated! Many Thanks!

    Painting inside of home

Am I best using neutral or bright colours to paint the inside of my home? What might it depend on, aside from personal preferences? How can I balance these colours well? Should they be mixed up from room to room or is it better just to use pretty much the same types of colours either way?

Converting a conservatory to an extension

I have a conservatory with dwarf walls, I am looking to make this a full extension. I understand the footings may not be deep enough, what is the best way to get them to the correct depth? I am happy to take down the dwarf walls but don't really want to disturb the current flooring as its a finished floor and plumbing is installed so looking to keep extension same size as current conservatory just bricking up walls, adding bi folding doors and a solid roof. Thanks

    Kitchen rearrangement

I'll be moving to a new property shortly. The seller will be removing all kitchen appliances so good opportunity to rearrange it. Is it possible to reuse cabinets & worktop counters already there, rearrange them, get matching new ones if necessary? They're relatively new (no more than 4 yrs). As it is there is a very wide range style cooker & fridge which is outside of kitchen (kitchen is an extension). I'd like an elevated oven, fridge brought in to main kitchen and induction hob (current cooker is gas hob). Is this possible?
