  • Neighbour reroof unfinished joining mine

My neighbour has just had a new roof but upon looking from the outside and inside, it doesn’t seem to have been finished off. I have masses of daylight coming through the gap and is now a wind trap. There is a gap of which I estimate to be about 5 cm between where our tiles finish and from what I can see there isn’t a bonding gutter either. It also looks like they have used some kind of foam on their side to keep the tiles in place and create a ‘seal’ for them but nothing on mine. My roof was sound before this and I would have thought that it would be the responsibility of the roofer/neighbour to ensure that my roof would be left in tact and not open to the elements. I do have pictures from Inside the loft.

Roof and lining problem and air brick.

Hi, Having water ingress to upstairs box room via an air brick / vent from the roof. Looks like the roof lining material above the air brick is rotten or broken away and water is coming in around or through the tiles onto what seems to be just a tile on top of the air brick cavity hole. It is then soaking into the wall and entering the box room. There are also a couple of small punctures in the roof lining in that are but further back into the loft a little which also leak. It's almost like the tiles are having no effect. The air vent is troubling as it just has a tile as the top of the cavity ( is that normal?). Would we have to take all the tiles off and reline everything on that side of the roof or can just the bottom tiles and lining be replaced?

Average cost of 10 low pitch roof tiles with labour cost

Can I have a rough estimate of how much it might cost to purchase 10 low pitch roof tiles from a supplier? Where are the best places to go to find these tiles? How about websites online too? If I hire a roofer to fit these roof shingles in place of old tiles, how much can I expect to pay as the labour cost? Will it cost much extra to have the old roof tiles removed?
