On a temporary basis, how can I protect a roof that has been damaged by a storm?

"Yes , depending on the type of damage and the expense of the temporary repair or making the roof water tight, is it worth it is the question, I would need to know what type of roof it was eg flat pitched and location of storm damage to comment further, make arrangements and I will give you some free advice, its difficult to answer, not knowing the full extent,"

"Use a tarpaulin to temporarily protect your roof. This can help to limit further damage until professional repairs can be carried out. You'll need to use a woven plastic tarp that is large enough to fully cover the damaged area as well as a metre on each side of the damaged area."
