Hello. There are tiles along the bathtub/shower area but then the rest of the walls are just painted so I’d like to ask do I need to use waterproof paint in a bathroom?
I’d like to perform a DIY paint job. However, I do sometimes get headaches when working with paint. Is there anything I can do to avoid this? Is this a sign that I should simply avoid undertaking paint jobs by myself? In this case, should I just hire a professional? If I wear a mask, could it prevent the headaches from occurring or is it better to avoid it anyway? It’d be great to get some guidance on this area as I’d really like to get some paintwork done soon around the house.
The paint is from the ceiling of my bathroom. This is mostly above the bath and shower area, the rest of the room is ok. I think it is because it is a new-build and contractors have just put cheap paint directly onto the plaster and not primed it. Would I need to peel all the paint off and start from scratch, or can I just scrape it off in the affected area, prime that area and then paint over the entire ceiling with new paint?
I have sanded a ceiling before painting and in some areas the plaster below in showing because of old paint. Can I must coat the whole ceiling before I paint or just the areas that are exposed Thanks appreciate any replys
