Dulux vs Farrow & Ball

How do Dulux compare with Farrow and Ball? Which is best or would it depend on the type of paint job in question?

"It does depend on the work areas that need to be covered, Farrow and Ball great for the color choices but does require often an extra coat to get the better finish. Dulux again good coverage and generally only 2 coats needed."

"Okay so farrow and bell is rubbish as a paint in general although I would recommend their colours then choosing either Johnstones or dulux to make you that colour up in their paint regards"

"Both good Farrow and ball is Excellent but if its Estate emulsion i reccomend the primer first as its fussy about what type of surface it sticks to the modern emulsion is not so fussy and more durable , if you go for Dulux the easycare range can be scrubbed if its stained , obviously Farrow and balll is more expensive and you cant make mistakes as its hard to sand as its chalk based but having said that the colour range is superb and i prefer it for older pre 1980s plaster and it has really good opacity"

"Farrow and Ball better paint and covers marks better , washes better as well , it is slightly more expensive but against the dulux diamond trade washable emulsion , the prices are a lot closer"
