Can I use the same paint brush with different paint?

Is it okay to use the same paintbrush for different types of paint? Or do I need different brushes for different paints? Thank you!

"Hi, yes you can use the same brush if you don't have another. But there are certain types of brushes for certain types of paints, depending on the composition of the paint."

"Yes you use the same brush, you just need to make sure you clean the old paint from it first"

"Yes you can use the same brush with different paints as long as you thoroughly clean it and dry it between uses.

Water based paints can be cleaned with soap and water. Oil-based paints require paint thinner, turpes or white spirit."

"Hello Jackie
You can only use brushes for set paints,
We use set brushes for water based paints and those we can just wash out with water when the job is done
And then set brushes for oil based paints, these don’t wash out as easy as you need white spirits to clean them out but they never come perfectly clean to them put in water based paints, so I’d advise you to have a set of each of you have on going work."

"You need different types of brush for each paint. When you buy the paint ask them what brush would you recommend."
