How much to soundproof a loft conversion?

How much is soundproofing likely to add to the cost of a loft conversion? How much is decent soundproofing per metre?

"It does depend whether you are soundproofing from the outside weather or reducing sound travelling down to other parts of the house.
These are different things.
A guess without dimensions would be to say that you would need to double the cost of materials. The insulating boards for both the floor, ceiling and floor are made of more condensed materials.
Commonsense is such that the better quality products you use the better the soundproofing. But it is also about the joins between the materials. Preventing the sound vibrations travelling through them, where someone with knowledge is important. Hope that helps"

"That depends on the the total area space. You need the length X height that will give you your meter square"

"1. Level of Noise: Good solution for a stud wall for all household noise problems, such as TV and voices. However, the SoundBoard 3 isn't suitable for impact noise, bass sounds, music, deep voices or snoring. For these noise issues, the higher performing ReductoClip Wall System would be required.

Solution: Pro-Sound™ SoundBoard 3 System (27mm thick)
Materials cost: From £32.30 + VAT per m2

2. Level of Noise: Excellent solution for all household noise problems, such as TV and voices. As above, the SoundBoard 4 isn't suitable for impact noise, bass sounds from music, snoring, or deep voices.

Solution: Pro-Sound™ SoundBoard 4 ™ System (30mm thick)
Materials cost: From £44.79 + VAT per m2

3. Level of Noise: Ideal solution for all household noise problems. Loud noises such as clear conversation, babies crying, clear TV noise and dampening of impact noise.

Solution: ReductoClip™ Direct to Wall System (60mm thick)
Materials cost: From £63.00 + VAT per m2"
