Hi, I would like to have a bed made for my daughter. I have a specific design in mind but I can't find anything like it in the UK so, I thought I'd jump on here and ask you talented bunch! It would be a simple day bed style, standard UK single, straightforward solid rubberwood frame (or similar) with rattan cane webbing panels, subtle whitewash finish. Thanks :)

I have artex ceilings in 3 bedrooms which I would like covered. The house is 1950s, I haven't confirmed if there is asbestos yet. Would I need to check this first?
We recently had hall, stairs, landing, lounge & dining room carpet fitted with underlay onto wood floors and they have glued and used grippers but the carpet has come away from one part of the fireplace and is fraying as if it has been cut too short, where the carpet goes upto the grippers and is tucked in it does not look flat but slopes near the skirting, it has round dents in the carpet in corners, is loose on the stairs where it comes down to the stair you stand on, if you run your hand at the back of the stairs where the drop and flat part join you can feel the wood with no carpet in place and on several stairs the gripper spikes stick through the carpet. please can someone advise whether I am right to complain and ask for this carpet to be replaced as I feel that they will just try to do a quick cheap repair. Also the fitter and his assistant were only here for under 2hrs to complete all of this work so was this rushed (the lounge and dining room are not small area).
How long should my guttering last for? I’ve moved into a house recently which has had guttering for about the past ten years. It is uPVC guttering. I’d like to know how many years I can expect this type of guttering to last before it will need replacing.
