Will oak floors lighten or darken over time?

"Wood is a natural product and changes in colour will occur due to the wood's reaction to the environment, so yes, wood flooring will definitely change colour over the years. Basically , dark wood will lighten (walnut for example) and lighter wood will darken (oak for example)."

The oak floor will get harder over time and darker. If the material it's not dry enough the cracks will appear."
