Is it possible to take a burglar or home security system with you when you move house?

"Yes it is.
I would suggest getting a engineer to dismantle and re assemble it in your new location, testing the system before removal and after re installation so any faults are found before hand, But if it is a wired system then the installation can get a little pricey as new cables will have to be run for it.

Another solution is to get a wireless system installed. Will cost around the same as it will to get your old system moved to a new place and re wired, but it will be a new system and can be adapted to your new location."

"Yes depending on the system. Wireless systems can be straightforward. Wired systems sometimes may cost more in labour to take over to the new house"

"You can take the main parts yes, but the cabling would usually stay at the property. Its possible and might save you a bit of money. I would speak with an expert and get a free assessment done on the new house and whether you need additional PIR sensors etc. Unless the new house is laid out the same as the old house. Remember you might not cover all areas with the old equipment.

I would also consider the age of the equipment and whether its just better to upgrade the system."

"Yes subject to install fees but maybe cheaper to leave it and use the money on a new system"

"Yes, it would be easyer if its a wireless system, if its a wire system then it would be harder to install at the new property pertenaly does not had the cables there and would new wire thought walls and floor boards"

"Yes it's possible with a competent electrician, a new power supply be required with no damage to

detectors, control unit and cable and provision be made to lengthen or shorten cables."
