How much does wall safe installation cost?

Want a small safe fitted into a solid brick wall for documents and jewellery. What's a fair price for fitting?

"Hi,
It depends on the work required, removal of brickwork. Making brickwork safe etc, how large the safe is etc"

"Depends on size of safe and quality of bricks being fixed into. I would say between the £150-£250 mark."

"A fair price for fitting a small wall safe into a solid brick wall would typically be around £100–£200 for installation, depending on the wall, safe size and how much masonry work is required.
This would normally include marking out the position, securely cutting/preparing the brickwork, installing and anchoring the safe, and making sure it is properly secured. If significant brickwork, plastering or making-good is required, the cost may be higher.
For a straightforward installation with good access, £125–£150 labour would be a competitive price, excluding the cost of the safe itself."

"For a small safe fixed to a solid brick wall, expect approximately £100–£180 for fitting, provided the safe is already on site and the installation is straightforward.

The safe should be secured into the brick rather than the mortar joints, using suitable heavy-duty masonry anchors and the manufacturer’s fixing points. The installer should also check for concealed pipes and cables. Very heavy safes, awkward access or additional floor fixing may increase the price. If it is being installed for insurance purposes, check whether your insurer requires a particular safe rating or installation method."
