Modifying second-hand wooden kitchen units

I'm buying some second-hand wooden kitchen units, but I think they'll need a bit of modification to fit. Is this something a carpenter or joiner can help with?

"Hi there

Fitting/modifying used kitchen units is something that can be done but you will potently see imperfections in the finished item. So I wouldn't advise."

"Hi yeah they can be cut down to fit but you will need to remember that the doors won’t fit sometimes it’s better to put fillers in or make wine rack for spaces hope this helps john"

"This is certainly something a carpenter or kitchen fitter can help with. Although it may be more work than you imagine!"

"What kind of modification you are referring to? Generally speaking a qualified carpenter, or a resected diy-er that is passionate and know what he/she is doing would fit the bill perfectly."

"Yeah this is something that can be done, but depends on what type of adjustments modification. If it’s to allow pipes then it’s no issue. If it’s to make say a five hundred unit fit into a three hundred unit space then again it can be done it just takes a bit more finesse."

"Hi, yes a carpenter should be able to modify the cabinets the problem maybe adjusting the doors to suit the units. Try to keep any changes to standard door sizes in case you need to purchase replacement doors. Hope this helps."
