Loft conversion

Who do I get in to give me a quote or just advise on if my loft roof needs strengthening up?

For reasons of liability, this would need a structural engineer to asses, 
Then on the advice of his assessment, it would go to tender to builders/ carpenters.

Depending on what you are using the loft space for. Most carpenters/loft conversion companies can advise you on weather you'll need to get the roof strengthened.

For roof strengthen you would need to call in an architect/structural engineer

Either a general builder, loft conversion company or a carpenter as it will be a carpenter who will be doing 80% of the work and a carpenter can always call in other trades to do other aspects of a build

In most cases your builder should know the answer
