Can you get a loft conversion without losing a bedroom?

Our house is a 3 bed semi and we're worried a loft conversion would require the staircase to go through the third bedroom. Is there a way to avoid losing that room?

"Hi Harry yes its absolutely possible but depends heavily on the layout of your house and may require some alterations to the current wall layout which might impede on the size of other rooms.
You can follow the pitch of your current stairs but only if you got adequate space on the landing to kite wind at the bottom as you need the new stairs to give the correct height clearance to your current stairs and providing all other regs are satisfied.
Stairs have certain regs i.e pitch, head height, landing space and door openings etc. And In my experience there's only a few realistic places they can go and quite often you have to compromise by nicking a bit of room from existing rooms.
Hope this helps"
