How deep should loft insulation be?

We've got some old insulation up there that looks pretty thin. What depth should we be aiming for? And does it matter what type we use

"Hi,

The standard minimum should be 300mm.

Mineral Wool is mostly used in domestic properties.

If the current insulation is very old, it should be removed and disposed of before installing new.

I hope this helps."

"It should be at least 300mm. 150 between rafters and minimum 150 over in other direction. 200 over would be ideal.
Cheers"
