Cost to create a separate loft storage area

Our loft is one big open space and we'd like to section off part of it as proper storage, boarded and accessible, separate from the rest. How much would this typically cost?

"Hi, great question, The cost of sectioning off part of your loft as a boarded, accessible storage area can vary depending on the size of the space, the type of boarding you choose, and whether you require any additional features such as insulation or built-in shelving.

On average in the UK:
- Basic loft boarding and simple partitioning can start from around £800–£1,500.
- If you want a fully framed, boarded, and partially insulated storage section with an access hatch or ladder, the cost could range between £1,500–£3,000.
- For larger spaces or more complex requirements, such as built-in storage units, prices can exceed £3,000."
