Monitoring doesn’t have to cost the earth though. Also; make sure you’re having modern CCTV with trustworthy alert technology to avoid bombarding your monitoring centre with irrelevant alerts.

Depends how you look at it . You can self monitor by installing an app to yoir phone which will contact you if theres any motion in any of yoir premises and its free !!

Hi Kelly. In my experience depending on the area you live in, cctv can be anything from peace of mind to full blown prevention. 
It is a deterrent but won’t prevent a crime being committed.

Not particularly.  If you have an intruder alarm system it may be worth installing some external PIR sensors and getting the alarm monitored via dual path signalling.  CCTV monitoring often fails!
