"This would depend on what system you intend to install. Grade 2 or 3, its best to speak to your insurance provider and ask what category or grade of alarm would help reduce insurance costs. There is lots of alarms out there in the market, so its best you do your research once you have the information from the insurance provider."

"If you get a Nacoss gold accredited company the certificate we give upon completion of your install, will be more than acceptable for your insurance company."

"Hi Tushar, yes, having a professionally installed Intruder Alarm should allow you to qualify for a discount on your Home Insurance."

"You would need to ask your insurance provider if they offer a discount for Grade 2 or Grade 3 alarms"

"You'd have to consult your insurance company but you'd probably have to have it fitted by a company that were part of a recognised alarm inspectorate scheme and have it monitored. Steer clear of Verisure though. I've seen some of their work and it was very amateur."

"Grade 2 alarm systems will be recognised by your insurance company. They will generally reduce your premiums between 3-10%."
