    Increasing ceiling/roof height on kitchen to allow for patio doors

    I have a kitchen that has nothing on top, that has a very low ceiling/roof. Half of the kitchen’s roof is normal, and around the middle there is a big drop, with the end height being about 1.40cm. I would like to raise the ceiling/roof to be able to install patio doors and be able to see the landscape views from the kitchen. How much could this cost and would it be worth it? Is it a lengthy job? Thanks!
