  • What is the best adhesive for new floor tiles?

Hi All, I have a ply lined bathroom floor and would like to know which adhesive would be best for porcelain floor tiles (600mm x 600mm). Does anyone have any suggestions? Currently, I have some leftover unibond ave a 20kg bag of unibond rapid set ceramic floor tile adhesive cement based left over from another.

Is it possible to have an indoor lawn?

Hi. Is it possible to have an indoor lawn created? Long story short, me and my husband decided to have a wall removed years ago so that we could extend our kitchen; fast forward to today and it’s like we don’t really need that much space. So, we’d like to re-build the wall and maybe even have an indoor lawn/indoor garden built with some big glass doors to let plenty of light in. Is this even possible, safe, legal? Thanks for your time. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

    Bonding gutter installation

Can any body tell me the standard or regulations when replacing both roof and felt on a semi detached property? Is fitting a bonding gutter possible without compromising next doors roof? My felt appears to have dropped on my side where the neighbours have had their roof done.

    32A Commando socket install

I am about to take delivery of an EV. I'm likely to be moving by the end of the year so spending circa £1k on a domestic charger will not deliver a return on the mileage I am likely to do. The car comes with its own "mobile charger" which is 7.4kw capable. I have a modern consumer unit with Schneider Isobar Acti9 125A. There is a first generation Rolec EV EVWP0020 charger already connected to the CU via a 32A breaker. I have a SMETS2 smart meter and they are all adjacent on the inside of the garage wall by the garage door where the car will be parked. What additional components (surge protection/breakers) might I need to install a 32A rated (blue) commando socket? What would be a reasonable estimate for this job?

    RCD/ circuit breaker placement

Hi guys, I am soon to be moving house and I have a small kitchen with a big full length cupboard which houses an RCD. I would like to utilise the cupboard by placing a washing machine or fridge in there and I also believe the RCD needs up dating. Can you tell me if this is possible please, I.e. utilising it for the washing machine or fridge or can i only use it for other storage items.

    Window seal replacement

I've noticed that when I open my double glazed windows, the seal on the inside are damaged and has a lot of mould. I used to be able to get away with cleaning the inner pvc area once every six months yet I'm noticing it getting mould quickly and needing done at least once a month to stop it from building up. It's mostly affecting the bedroom windows and my upper hallway. I've noticed these windows getting a lot of condensation as well. Is it possible to replace this inside seal and if so what roughly would it cost to do something like this? The windows are between ten and twelve years old I think. Would ideally not want to completely replace as its not within budget just now.
