Moving radiator

When removing a radiator, or moving one to a different location in the room, do we have to drain the whole system?

"Yes you would need to drain the system down,so you can cut and alter pipe work for new radiator position, if you were to change radiator like for like and leave in same place,you would only need to drain the radiator your changing."

"It's best to drain down the system, some engineers will freeze pipe, this only gives a limited time to do the work, if it's a system with storage tank the expansion pipe and feed can be blocked off .
Not done that for a long time"

"No, you don't always have to drain the entire central heating system when moving a radiator. You can isolate the radiator and drain just that section, which is often simpler and less time-consuming."
