    Smart lock for my door?

    I have two separate locks on my door. The upper one is Zoo MK5 cylinder lock (knob inside, keyhole outside); lower one is a split spindle latch (lever handle inside, keyhole outside). To open the door from the outside, I need to unlock the upper lock and then use my key for the lower lock to turn the latch. I’d like to add a smart lock. What’s the best way to make this door smart? Is it to (1) make the lower lock a proper lock + latch and ignore the upper lock or (2) make the lower lock a latch that can be opened with a lever handle from both sides without a key? Which is less likely to affect the fire resistance of the door or hinder escape in case of emergency (because this is a leasehold property)?

    As a trade person, what do you usually do if a client doesn't respond after receiving the invoice? My painting job is finished, and I sent the invoice to them the day after completion, but they neither responded nor paid. I sent a reminder text after 3 days, but they still seem to be ignoring me. Just to mention, this is the second invoice for our service, and they paid the first one on time.
