Improving back garden's kerb appeal on a budget

What are some ways of increasing the kerb appeal of a back garden on a budget?

"Hello Ange ... The Cheapest way to improve a Garden is if you have Something that Grass will grow in...i e Sand or Topsoil... Work it ti a Fine tllith during dry weather in Spring Summer or Auttumn and Sow some Grass Seeds on it... cost of Seeds is Very Minimal .

Other than That .... get Border plants etc and Put them it ...again in Some Soil or sand ..and Water regularly......
After that ...Improve it by New Fencing or painting Existing...and Clean paths or New Paths ! ...
Top end Gardens have Gondalers etc ...plus Decking And Of Course Patios !"

"Hi Angie depending on the size, I would recommend falsie turf, the cos of if has reduced recently plus once installed there is in maintenance,
