    We have just bought a beautiful Victorian villa and we are trying to restore some of the original features such as the fireplaces. There was an extension built in the 70’s and I would like to open the fireplace between the living room and extension (double sided stove) but this would mean knocking through the original exterior stone wall.     Can someone tell me if the hedge is my responsibility or not? If I’m standing on my property looking at the road then my house is on the left side and theirs is on the right. They never seem to cut the hedge so I always end up doing it and I’m getting fed up so I want to just get rid altogether.
