What is an EN 60204 installation test? When it is required and who can perform and certify this test? Are there any similar tests that might be needed during scenarios where this particular test is needed? In other words, basically will there be many cases where I’d need to have a variety of different tests performed at the same time as having an EN 60204 test undertaken?

Hi all, Just wondering if you could advise me on a gap in my window where the hinge is. I have a brown uPVC window but it seems to be letting in a draught. If you sit at the right angle you can see daylight coming through. This is the space between the window opening and the frame, is this something that can be tightened and re-aligned or does the window opening need replacing? Thanks in advance.
The issue concerns 2 bedrooms that operate on different switches, obviously, but have different results than expected. The combinations are as follows: Switch A Switch B Light A Light B 1: off off off off 2: on off on on (dim) 3: off on off on 4: on (1st) on (2nd) on on (turns OFF light A) 5: on (2nd) on (1st) off on Sorry, but this is the only way I can explain. I think a little rewire is called for? Ragards John.

Is there a drill bit that drills around them, like an apple corer? Grabbing the nails is impossible, they crumble. This is in a basement with damp walls and they wick moisture. I have to remove them before tanking.
We have a living room that is 13'8"x9'9" with floor joists that attach to the neighbouring house, so that when the neighbours children are jumping around we can feel the vibration in our living room. Is it possible to remove and replace the joists so that they run the opposite way and if so how much is this likely to cost approximately? Thanks
