Thoughts on cheap wooden fences?

Are budget-friendly wooden fences still safe and effective? Are they very prone to damage in harsh weather conditions?

Hi if you want a fence that will last and won't come down in the wind like the cheap waney lap fence panels then go for a Hit and miss type fencing panel put that in google and you will be able too get plenty of results there designed too let wind pass through whilst still maintaining privacy and stability aswell as been far superior in life span hope that helps thanks John Connaught builders and joiners

Budget fence panels are not as bad as people say. You got to remember if you do the post well that helps the fence last.

Yes. Do not go for luxury, but avoid the cheap ones. in uk, as you know, we do experience strong winds. I’m just recently got called on a job to replace the fences as they were damaged by strong winds. important also is how well the posts foundation is done. Often, the foundation is not correctly done … so the first thing that comes apart is the post, and the fence along with it.
