Power cut set burglar alarm off

We recently had a brief power cut which triggered our burglar alarm. Is this usual?

"If your alarm was switched on during the power cut and the alarm activated, its because your back up battery needs replaced.
If your alarm wasnt switched on during tbe power cut and it just caused an internal beeping, thats normal because the british standards require that the system draws your attention to a power loss incase it is someone trying to circumvent your system by cutting the power."

"If your back back up in the panel has failed then it will cause the alarm to go off. Alarms need servicing regularly"

"This probably means that your backup battery is dead if the alarm was going off directly when the power cut occured"

"Yes this is normal for wired systems, it's an anti tamper measure and automatically triggers if power is cut to the system and there is no battery backup in place."

"Yes this is quite common for it to show a tamper, but my main concern would be if your alarm stopped going off while the power was out. If so I would have your backup battery checked."

"your existing alarm system requires an service and the internal battery in the alarm system requires replacement, It is likely that when ever your alarm system detects a change in power outage your alarm will go off"
