Plastering under window sill

Hi. Could I ask please. Our house was re plastered. New interior window sills (plastic) were fitted. I’m wondering if the plaster should go right up to the sill. Not only are there draughts the plaster doesn’t finish properly (in a straight line) but you can also see bare brick. I’m not sure if I’m just being picky or whether this is shoddy work.

"Before the plastic window sill is installed, the plaster underneath should be finished to a skim bead Fixed to the bottom reveal, this with stop any plaster from flaking. When the sill is fit the bottom reveal a thin bead of silicon or sealant should be applied to the under side of the sill to fill the small gap were it meets the plaster."

"It should have been plastered right up to the sill"

"Hello Clare, there should be no brick work showing as the plaster should come right up to the window sill. You need to ask the plasterer to come back and rectify this issue.

Hope this helps."

"Plastering should be finished tight under sill with no gaps or bricks showing. There should certainly be no draughts.
Sounds like job was not finished properly !!"
