    Install Stone Tiles in Kitchen/Conservatory

I should never have paid Lewis Folkes until he actually completed the job, I was quite poorly while he was doing the job so I wasn’t 100% and very rarely challenged him in fact only two or three times when he did actually come back and try and resolve the work that wasn’t very good. My kitchen floor is dangerous. I’m going to have to get somebody else into do it all over again. Lewis is not answering any calls either from me or my partner. The tiles I would say are 80% uneven. I have actually fallen and I’m disabled when one of the tiles caught my slipper and I lost my balance. My great grandson cut his foot on one of the tiles because some of them are quite raised and extremely sharp. Lewis didn’t work very long hours but maybe that’s the normal these days. He had to go and look after his children which was commendable and his partner who was expecting at the time he had to take her to the hospital all genuine reasons I’m sure , I did at the beginning say that the job could be done after his partner had the baby, but he wanted to start asap. but when you’re paying for a job to be done, you actually want the job to be done. Nobody has actually commented that it’s a good job in fact the opposite or that my kitchen floor looks good because it doesn’t, the gap between the tiles or the grouting is all uneven and dangerous. There are thick gaps thin gaps and holes at the edges where it’s not been completed and the Silicon has worn away already, it’s just an extremely poor job.

Replace Carpet With Grey Vinyl Flooring

I would not recommend Lewis for flooring work based on my experience. Lewis originally quoted me £420 in total to replace the carpet with laminate flooring after visiting the property in person. However, once the carpet had been removed and the work had already started, he began adding extra charges, saying the floor was uneven, not straight, extra materials were needed, and rubbish removal would cost more. The final price increased to £766. What disappointed me most was that he messaged me saying the work was finished by sending some photos and requested payment before I had even seen the completed job, as I was at work during the day. When I later checked the flooring, the hallway strip was already lifting and popping out, which is not what I would expect from professional work. Lewis mentioned that he mainly does plastering and also does flooring work, but unfortunately the finish did not meet professional standards in my opinion. A good craftsman should expect challenges in any property and aim to provide the best possible result instead of constantly increasing the price after the work has started. “Good craftsmen do not complain about the condition they find — they use their skill and experience to make it better.”

Well akhil you were ment to get rid of the rubbish , wouldn’t let me take the skirting off to tuck flooring underneath the skirting like normal as only just had it decorated and also the flooring akhil choose was £145 more expensive than the original and then all the beading ect what was needed so in my case I couldn’t help the squareness of the room or anything as told me not to take the skirting off and replace door bar and what ever extra it would be he’d be more than happy to take care of the extra costs as only originally sent me photos of the room
    Replace Damaged Plasterboard and Skim

After a few issues with turning up, the job was completed to a high standard. The quote was much less than some others who quoted.

    Wall Crack Repair and Painting

Unfortunately really disappointed with the quality of the work carried out. The plastering part of the job has been done so that I’ve been left with a couple of bumpy/wavy parts of the wall. Then the painting has been done really poorly with paint all on the skirting board, some spots that haven’t even been painted, then visible signs of where a brush has been used compared to a roller. Considering the wall needed a white wash and 2 coats, the work was finished in 45 mins.

    Reskim Half Wall 4-5m2
