How to level a patio

Part of our existing patio has sunk slightly and collects water after rain. Can individual slabs be lifted and relevelled or does it need to come up completely?

"there are ways to lift a slab out and re level the slab. if its sunk it may mean proper foundations were not completed prior to work or that it is not sat on apprpriate ratio of sand and cement. start by removing grout from around slab unless they are buttered. i would remove a few around it also then chisel ild cement base away before relaying on new 4 to 1 mix and use a spirit to ensure they butter with the existing slabs. hope that helps"

"in many cases, individual patio slabs can be lifted and relevelled without rebuilding the whole patio. Whether that’s enough depends on why the area sank and how widespread the movement is."
