At what megapixel level of resolution would CCTV be similar to HD and the quality one would see with a regular digital camera? If they exist, are such CCTV cameras common on the market or hard to come by?

"2MP = 1080p Full HD.
8MP = 4K Quality.

Although you wont notice much difference in quality when it comes to CCTV."

"2mp and up are HD, 8mp and up are 4k, IP cameras would be your best bet for quality, try and stay away from analogue."
