Ask your QuestionHow to set up an alarm trigger system in a garden? Do you need planning permission for this? does it depend on whether you set one up in the front or back garden? Where could I purchase one and is it easy enough to set up DIY? Thanks for your time.
Asked by Kelly on 22nd Apr 2021"There are lots of ways to set up motion triggered events as no one CCTV system is the same.
No planning Permission is required but be mindful that any recordings outside of your property will have to comply with GDPR and data protection
You can get a generic system from most places such as Argos ect but these “DIY” systems are no suitable for motion detection as they use very limited VA and you will get 100’s of false alarms
For an Accurate system you are best to speak to a professional and get a system such as an acusence system these are purpose made for this situation and can accurately tell between objects and a person"
"If it’s on your property you can alarm it. Ajax have an alarm system with outdoor sensors."

I don’t know of a diy garden alarm however I know that on certain house alarms you can add a garden motion sensor if this helps however this would need an engineer"
