Floodlight cameras include large spotlights that can be activated by both the PIR motion sensor and/or motion detection by the camera. These devices normally come with a microphone and speaker so you can have two-way communication via a smartphone app.

You need to pay subscription for the recordings on cloud with ring cammeras when normal security cammeras you have them with dvr or nvr and hard drive

As the name suggests floodlight cameras are just a camera built into a passive infra red operated spot light set up, typically the cameras in these are 2 Mega Pixels so ok for close up but you may lose picture quality should you need to zoom in.
The convenience factor of floodlight cameras is that they will generally straight swap for an existing outside light and as long as the area is covered by wifi you can view them online and recordings are made to a memory card.
